Interested in buying a Segway HT?
Whether for the sheer joy of the Segway experience, or the practical realities of inner-city commuting, you know that you want to buy a Segway HT.
Note: On the cards I have been handing out, the price range is listed as $3,000 - $5,000. The current price is $5,000, but the $3,000 figure is based upon the rumored "lite" version that is also rumored to arrive this summer, referred to as the "P" series, or as the "Metro". In addition, some discounts available to planned communities like Disney's Celebration, located in Florida, who have embraced the HT, and have committed to a large quantity of them. Undoubtedly, as more are produced, the price will continue to drop!
So, how do you go about buying one?
Sadly, there are no Segway dealerships yet where you could walk in, write a check, and then ride out on your own Segway HT.
If you are an employee of a business that has purchase agreements with Segway LLC, you may be eligible for an immediate employee-purchase program.
For the rest of us, the Segway HT is only available for purchase through an exclusive marketing arrangement through Amazon.com.
