"Saddle" Brackets - Original, and Modified

Often, one of the questions I get is "where can I put my things when I use it?" Well, the obvious questions is either A - take a backpack, or B - get the front bag accessory that Segway offers. Then I came accross this great accessory, which allows to easily and securely transport a briefcase, or, in my case, as a photographer, a camera bag. below is a photograph I took in my studio of the Saddle Brackets, as they were recieved. Notice the black edging. These brackets are strong and well made.

My only concern was the silver didn't match any of the other colors on the Segway. I wanted them to blend in more. So I did some investigating, and found that I could take them to my local "Rhino Linings" dealer (http://www.rhinolinings.com) who would cover them with a very strong, polyurethane coating, that would not only provide additional strength and reduce any slippage with the rubber coating, but also helped the brackets blend in with the rest of the Segway. Note that the black trim was removed.

Below are two detail shots of the coating that was applied:

Here, the rhino-lined brackets are installed on the Segway:

So you can compare (relatively speaking) the color of the grey (Rhino's stock grey color) to the trim on the Segway, here's a tight shot of the bracket and mat and fender:

The brackets are available through Seg-On. For images from their site, click on http://www.kcaps.com/bag_carrier.jpg or check out http:// www.kcaps.com/bag_carrier_1.jpg. The cost for them is $48 for one, of $43.50 for two, with the diamond-plate model.
